Using Children’s Literature in the Music Classroom

The presentation will incorporate research findings around the unique relationship between language arts and music and showcase various music activities to illustrate their similarities. Strategies fostering integrative learning and how reading instruction techniques can benefit music education will be shared. The clinician will also demonstrate mini lessons that employ children's literature to encourage student response, connection, performance, and creativity in music.
