NAMM to Sponsor Vans Warped Tour 2007 and Offer Retail Members a Free Opportunity to Reach Out to Thousands of Consumers

Nation's longest running concert festival tours cities nationwide, providing NAMM Member retailers with a chance to expose consumers to their businesses

Carlsbad, Calif.

NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, today announced it will again sponsor the Vans Warped Tour in order to provide NAMM retail Members with a free opportunity to promote their stores locally.

Last year, more than 100 NAMM retail Members participated in the tour nationwide, taking advantage of the free prospect to get the word out about their stores at a local tour stop and tap into the spending power of thousands of concert attendees—an average of 10,000 people per stop.

The Vans Warped Tour is the nation’s longest-running concert festival touring series with nearly half a million tickets purchased last year. The tour is coming to numerous cities this summer, and NAMM Members can take advantage of several opt-ins as detailed below.

NAMM Members can reach local concert attendees with one, all or any combination of these simple options:

  1. Inclusion of Collateral Material in Goodie Bags. Insert 1,000 pieces of store collateral, such as store coupons, promotional material and lesson discounts, in Vans Warped Tour goodie bags to be distributed at the front gate.
  2. Promotional Ticket Giveaways for Members. Set up an in-store ticket giveaway promotion to give one in-store visitor a pair of Vans Warped Tour tickets.
  3. VIP Passes and Tour of Local Vans Warped Tour. Receive two partner privilege passes to the local Vans Warped Tour stop, a guided tour of the festival and an opportunity to directly promote retail stores to attendees of the tour.
  4. Retailer Wanna Play? 10% Discount Program. Participate in a NAMM-promoted 10% discount program to attract more customers to Member stores.

Members are asked to please opt-in as soon as possible to secure their participation in the Vans Warped Tour 2007 promotional activities since ticket supplies are limited in each market. NAMM Members can sign up to participate in this simple, effective marketing opportunity, offered as a free benefit of their Membership, by logging on to
