Setting Up Your Meeting Availability

Setting Your Personal Availability for Meetings via NAMM Show+  interactive guide

All attendees can use NAMM Show+ to set meetings with exhibitors and fellow attendees. You will need to set up your availability via the 'My Event' page to ensure you can block off times and/or dates you are unavailable.

We've created meeting slots the week before the NAMM Show too, which will be virtual-only. This will allow attendees additional networking time to use NAMM Show+ for video calls and chat.

Qualified media may photograph/video throughout The NAMM Show. Exhibitors may photograph/video their own booth and/or product.  Attendees are prohibited from photographing and recording without consent.  This includes exhibit space, products, private conversations and other private meetings.

The use of drones, UAV’s, hoverboards and similar devices are strictly prohibited on the NAMM Show floor, as well as all outside areas of the Anaheim Convention Center. NAMM has undertaken reasonable efforts to ensure that the NAMM Show will be a safe environment for NAMM members and their guests, and the prohibition on drones, UAV’s, hoverboards and similar devices is consistent with standards of best practices for general safety.

If new risks and safety concerns arise, however, NAMM reserves the right to modify or expand the prohibition on certain technology, devices, or vehicles at the NAMM Show. You hereby agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless, and to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law you hereby expressly release and discharge, NAMM Show Management, its affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, vendors, agents, contractors, and owners ("Related Parties") from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, costs, fees (including reasonable attorney fees), proceedings, expenses, damages, or losses, of any kind ("Claim") in connection with, or which arise out of or result from, your attendance at and/or participation in the event, including but not limited to any Claim for property damage and/or personal injuries, whether as a result of your negligence or willful misconduct, your violation of these or any other policies of, or agreements with, NAMM Show Management or the event venue, your violation of any applicable law, regulation, rule, or ordinance, or otherwise, in each case whether or not foreseeable, and in each case except to the extent such Claim is directly caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of NAMM Show Management.

NAMM is looking forward to welcoming our community from around the globe to The NAMM Show, and our goal is to create a smooth and seamless travel process as you plan to attend the show. 

The United States State Department has created the Visa Wizard, a tool to help identify if you are required to obtain a visa when traveling from your country of origin. Please note that some countries are part of the Visa Waiver Program, and you are not required to obtain a Letter of Invitation. If your country is part of the Visa Waiver Program, you may register for your Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval before traveling.

Visa Application Instructions
  1. Schedule an appointment for a visa interview at the nearest U.S. Embassy. For more information, please visit the U.S. Visa Information page.
  2. Be prepared for your interview. Take the Letter of Invitation to your appointment along with your valid passport or government identification, evidence that you have funds to cover expenses in the United States and evidence of compelling social and economic ties to your home country. The Consular Officers who interview are looking for evidence that you will return to your country.
  3. Be specific about the dates of your travel to and from the United States. If you have already secured your hotel and plane tickets, provide your round-trip travel itinerary and confirmation of your hotel reservation with your application.
  4. Complete all official documents and answer all questions completely. If the answer is no, write “no” or “none.”
  5. Provide any materials or correspondence from NAMM to prove it is a legitimate business event. An example would be a confirmation of your badge registration to attend The NAMM Show.
  6. Be prepared for the visa fees and accepted methods of payment by the U.S. Embassy.

Please be aware that employees of NAMM cannot assist you with the visa interview process, but please inform NAMM of your situation. NAMM can only provide a letter of invitation (LOI), so please reach out to your local embassy or consulate for more information and to process your application.

Member and General Attendee Qualifications

To qualify as a NAMM Member attending The 2025 NAMM Show, your NAMM membership must be valid through January 28, 2025. 

To qualify as a General Attendee attending The 2025 NAMM Show, you must be affiliated with at least one of the following categories: pro audio engineer, live sound professional, entertainment technology professional, theme park operator, touring and staging professional, venue and studio representative, houses of worship representative, educator/instructor, student, buyer of music, sound, and event technology products.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need a visa?

Countries that participate in the U.S. Department of State Visa Waiver Program may not require a visa. Visit this page to check if your country qualifies.

Why do I need a letter of invitation?

If you are traveling from a country that requires a visa to travel to the United States, you may request a letter of invitation from NAMM. This letter will inform the U.S. Embassy that you will be in the United States to conduct business at The NAMM Show and will return to your home country when the show is over.

What if my visa request is denied?

If you are denied, reapply immediately and provide any requested information at your next interview. If you are delayed or denied again, please submit an inquiry about your case by e-mail to businessvisa@state.gov or call 202-663-3198.

 

Full face coverings and/or body coverings, which include but are not limited to: full face masks, face paint, full hoodie, full costumes that restrict or limit clear identification or imply a violent nature are prohibited at The NAMM Show. NAMM reserves the right to make determinations on appropriate attire. If for any reason attire is deemed objectionable by show management, attendees may be asked to alter the attire or be removed from the show.

To attend the NAMM Show as an approved member of the media or as a social influencer-content creator, NAMM will need to verify your credentials/work as a designated media outlet and/or social influencer/content creator within the music industry. After completing your online registration, you will receive a badge/credential that grants access to the NAMM Creator Lounge and Production Studios, NAMM Media Center, Global Media Day (January 22) and Industry Insights with, NAMM CEO, John Mlynczak. You will also have exclusive access to all NAMM-related media and influencer and content-creator events during the week. Additional details and information on all of these activities will be forthcoming.

NAMM has designed new badges for the 2025 show to exclusively serve industry segments which include media outlets, podcasters, content creators and social media influencers.

As a special guest of the NAMM Show, a complete 2025 Show Communications Guide will be sent directly to you via email prior to the start of The January NAMM Show.

Producing and hosting events in and around Anaheim is approved for exhibiting companies only. Using the NAMM name or associated brand marks in event titles and/or event promotion is strictly prohibited. The NAMM Member Center is located in the Lobby of the Anaheim Convention Center. This is a hub for networking, roundtable discussions, VIP Buyer lounge, customer service and information to make the most of your NAMM Show experience.

COVID Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver of Liability

I, the undersigned, in order to attend The Show agree to the following terms:

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY

All attendees will be required to show a government-issued photo ID prior to having their badge printed.

By attending The NAMM Show, attendees agree to all information outlined on our Show Information and Policies page.

The NAMM Show will begin on January 21 with events, add exhibits on January 23, and conclude Saturday, January 25.

In order to create a show environment that is as safe and sound as possible to gather our global community in-person, NAMM is committed to adhering to state and local guidelines for indoor and outdoor events, as outlined by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the city of Anaheim.

As of September 2022, the California Department of Public Health no longer requires COVID vaccine verification or proof of a negative test to attend an indoor event of more than 1,000 people.

The CDPH has also removed mask and face covering requirements.

COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION

I understand and acknowledge that COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the State of California, World Health Organization and has been classified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a highly contagious disease that can be transmitted asymptomatically and can lead to severe illness and death. I recognize that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious illnesses exists in any place where people are present and that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at The NAMM Show may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of others who may attend the event or their families, colleagues, or others with whom they may have contact. I also understand that NAMM, the city of Anaheim and hotel community cannot eliminate my risk of contracting COVID-19 in connection with my participation in The NAMM Show.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I have read the safety information above concerning COVID-19. I hereby voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and accept sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with attending The NAMM Show. I agree that The NAMM Show is of such value to me that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to attend The NAMM Show in person.

LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS

IN CONSIDERATION OF THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NAMM SHOW, I HEREBY FOREVER RELEASE, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS NAMM, ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER AND ITS AFFILIATES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “GROWTH PARTIES”), OF AND FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITIES, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, COSTS, OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO EXPOSURE, INFECTION, AND/OR SPREAD OF COVID-19, WHETHER ARISING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, NOW OR IN THE FUTURE, AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER CAUSED BY FAULT ON THE PART OF ANY GROWTH PARTY, IN CONNECTION WITH MY PRESENCE AT THE NAMM SHOW.

CHOICE OF LAW

I understand and agree that the law of California will apply to this Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver of Liability (“Release and Waiver”), regardless of that jurisdiction’s choice of law provisions. I understand that this Release and Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law, and that if any portion of this Release and Waiver is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect. This Release and Waiver shall extend to and be binding upon me and my estate, heirs, executors, administrators, and personal representatives.

AGREEMENT TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS RELATED TO COVID-19

In addition to all rules and regulations relating to my attendance at The NAMM Show, I agree to comply with all COVID-19-related procedures, whether written or oral, that may be implemented by NAMM or the Anaheim Convention Center and hotel community, including, but not limited to, mask wearing and social distancing requirements and restrictions on certain activities that carry higher COVID-19-related risk, regardless of whether, at any time, I have had or have previously been diagnosed with COVID-19, and regardless of whether I have been vaccinated against COVID-19, in order to protect as much as possible the health and safety of all NAMM Show attendees. I understand and acknowledge that all such policies are mandatory and my adherence to them is a condition of my attendance at The NAMM Show.

In addition, I agree not to attend any portion of The NAMM Show if I fall within any of the categories below. By attending The NAMM Show, I certify that I do not fall into any of the following categories:

  1. Individuals who within 5 days prior to The NAMM Show have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, shortness of breath, and loss of smell or taste, among others.
  2. Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 within 5 days prior to The NAMM Show, have been advised to quarantine by a medical professional or public health agency due to possible exposure to COVID-19, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

DUTY TO SELF-MONITOR

I agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include but are not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, and loss of taste or smell) and contact NAMM at health@namm.org if I experience symptoms of COVID-19 while attending The NAMM Show.

  1. I will not enter The NAMM Show if I am experiencing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. I acknowledge that common symptoms of COVID-19 include:
  • Fever or chills
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Cough
  • Congestion or runny nose
  1. I will immediately isolate myself and leave the The NAMM Show and notify event staff if I, or someone I have been in close contact with, is exposed to COVID-19, exhibits COVID-19 symptoms, or receives a positive COVID-19 test result.
  2. I expressly agree to fully comply with appropriate COVID-19 health and safety measures and protocols for attendance at The NAMM Show. NAMM reserves the right to remove any attendee from The NAMM Show for failure to adhere to the required COVID-19 health and safety measures and protocols.
  3. While in attendance at The NAMM Show, I will make every effort to always follow CDC-recommended hygiene procedures, including frequent hand washing (or a suitable sanitizing alternative), avoiding touching my eyes, nose, and mouth in public places and covering coughs or sneezes with a tissue or the inside of my elbow.
  4. I expressly assume, and release the National Association of Music Merchants, Inc. (“NAMM”) and any of its affiliates from, all risks, claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses, whether or not reasonably foreseeable, associated with, resulting from or arising in connection with my participation or presence at The NAMM Show , including, without limitation, all risks of harm, damage, illness (including viruses or illness from any communicable disease) or injury (including death) to or related to my person or property.
  5. I grant NAMM the right to use my name, image, and likeness, including but not limited to any photographs or video taken of me at the show, for marketing purposes.
  6. ATTENTION: Exhibitors and Sponsors at The NAMM Show may utilize badge scanning to follow up with you after the show. Please be aware that by permitting an exhibitor/sponsor to scan your badge, your contact information including address, email, phone & fax will be shared with the exhibitor/sponsor, and The NAMM Show will no longer be in control of how your information is used.   7. NAMM reserves the right to accept, reject or prohibit registration for or attendance at its events at any time for any reason.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL PROVISIONS OF THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER, AND FREELY AND KNOWINGLY ASSUME THE RISK AND WAIVE MY RIGHTS CONCERNING LIABILITY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

Code of Conduct

To benefit all members of our global community, as you navigate the NAMM Show+ and any other NAMM online platform(s), we ask that you to carry yourself as you would at an in-person event, treating each other with professionalism, respect and kindness.

NAMM is committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion. This code of conduct document covers our expectations for participant behavior, as well as the actions expected for unacceptable behavior. We ask all attendees, sponsors, speakers, attendees, media, brands and other participants to help us realize a safe and positive event for everyone. All determinations of appropriate or inappropriate behavior are in NAMM’s sole discretion and the decision(s) of the NAMM representatives will be final.

Please see our Acceptable Use Policy that outlines activities at all NAMM digital offerings, including NAMM Show+. In addition, please adhere to the following guidelines.

Expectations

  1. You will behave in a way as to create and encourage a safe and supportive environment for all NAMM Show+ participants, including NAMM employees, moderators, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers.
  2. You will not engage in disruptive speech or behavior or otherwise interfere with the virtual event or other individuals' participation in the event or engage in spamming of other attendees.
  3. You will not engage in any form of harassing, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening speech or behavior, including (but not limited to) relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or other protected category.
  4. You will comply with the instructions of the moderator and any NAMM staff.
  5. You will comply with all applicable laws in your local jurisdiction as well as the United States of America and the State of California.

Scope

We expect all online event participants (including NAMM employees, moderators, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, and volunteers) to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers NAMM Show+, Believe in Music and all related events (social or otherwise), along with other online events hosted by NAMM. NAMM employees participating in online events must continue to abide by all company policies.

Consequences

NAMM reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate in response to any unacceptable behavior, including immediate removal from the online event without warning or refund, or to prohibit attendance in future live and / or online events.

The above policies may be revised at any time by NAMM and are non-negotiable. This Code of Conduct is without prejudice to NAMM’s rights, all of which it expressly reserves. Review all of NAMM’s policies here.

NAMM is a trade-only event. With the exception of giveaways and samples, all over-the-counter transactions (cash, check or credit card) involve the collection of associated taxes and is prohibited at The NAMM Show. Only business orders for future delivery are promoted on show site.

NAMM Show badges are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you observe something suspicious, please contact show security or show management immediately. Attendees can pick up any building phone or dial  714-765-8975 to speak with a security professional. Be prepared to answer: who or what you saw; when you saw it; where it occurred; and why it's suspicious.

NAMM strongly encourages all exhibitors and show attendees to not leave product or personal belongings unattended at any time. While NAMM Management exercises reasonable care to safeguard exhibitors’ property by providing perimeter security service, there is no way to ensure the integrity of every person who comes in and out of the building.

Security check points are located throughout the perimeter of The NAMM Show campus. All attendees are subject to ID and bag check.

The Anaheim Convention Center is a LEED-certified building, which makes it a non-smoking facility, including vape smoking.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed on the balconies. Smoking and vaping is not allowed in the courtyard areas and may only be done 25 ft from the entrances.

We have negotiated several discounts and opportunities to help attendees maximize their experience at The NAMM Show. 

Attendees under the age of 18 must register for badges and the parent/guardian must complete a child waiver form onsite. Forms are located at Registration Customer Service desks in Hall E and Arena.  Minor must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. 

Childcare is not provided.
