COVID Protocols

Effective April 1, 2022 the California Department of Public Health no longer requires COVID vaccine verification or proof of a negative test to attend an indoor event of more than 1,000 people.

See the latest guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Although regulations have relaxed, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 still exists in any public place where people are present, including The NAMM Show.

NAMM, along with the city of Anaheim and state of California, are taking numerous steps to keep our global community as safe and sound as possible. Should guidance from local and national authorities change, we will continue to keep you updated.

The Anaheim Convention Center will continue to ensure unparalleled service and a world-class experience while taking steps to safeguard public health for event organizers, attendees, partners, and employees.

Steps include:

  • Being the first facility to earn GBAC Star Accreditation.
  • ACC utilizes 100% outside air in accordance with ASHRAE and CDC recommendations for publicly occupied spaces.
  • The ACC accepts only credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at locations that require payment, such as parking and food stand locations to minimize physical contact.
  • 153 wall-mounted hand sanitizer dispensers, which include 90 that are touchless, have been installed at entrances, reception areas, elevators, restrooms and other frequently visited areas.
  • ACC South building now has 63 points of entry access to reduce crowded areas.

We look forward to welcoming our community from around the globe to Southern California. Our goal is to create a smooth and seamless travel process for you. Travel regulations to the United States have eased in recent months. For the latest information, please visit CDC's travel updates.

Please note: If you are traveling from a country that is part of the Visa Waiver Program, you are not required to request a letter of invitation. Instead, register for your Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel.

Not sure if you will require a visa from your country of origin? Use the U.S. Department of State's handy visa wizard to determine what you will need.

Please read the instructions below to request a visa letter of invitation.

Request your Letter of Invitation

Follow these steps to request a letter of invitation:

Request your letter of invitation as soon as possible, since the visa application process can take longer than expected. Once your request has been submitted, you will receive an emailed letter of invitation within 2–5 business days to the email address provided. Please note: NAMM does not send printed copies of your letter of invitation by mail or post.

Passport must be valid for six months beyond the period of your stay in the US. See list of countries exempt from the six-month requirement.

Visa Application Instructions
  1. Schedule an appointment for a visa interview at the U.S. Embassy nearest you. For more information, please visit the U.S. Visa Information page.
  2. Be prepared for your interview. Take the letter of invitation to your appointment along with your current valid passport or government identification, evidence that you have funds to cover expenses in the United States and evidence of compelling social and economic ties to your home country. The Consular Officers who interview are looking for evidence that you will return to your country.
  3. Be specific about the dates of your travel to and from the United States. If you have already secured your hotel and plane tickets, provide your round-trip travel itinerary and confirmation of your hotel reservation with your application.
  4. Complete all official documents and answer all questions completely. If the answer is no, write “no” or “none.”
  5. Provide any materials or correspondence from NAMM to prove it is a legitimate business event. An example would be a confirmation of your badge registration to attend The NAMM Show.
  6. Be prepared for the visa fees and accepted methods of payment by the U.S. Embassy.

Please be aware that employees of NAMM cannot assist you with the visa interview process, but please inform NAMM of your situation. NAMM can only provide a letter of invitation (LOI), so please reach out to your local embassy or consulate for more information and to process your application.
