Jimmie Rodgers

Jimmie Rodgers is the pop music singer and songwriter who topped the charts in the 1950s and 60s with recordings such as "Kisses Sweeter than Wine," "Oh-Oh, I'm Falling in Love Again," "Are You Really Mine" and his 1957 hit “Honeycomb.” Jimmy was taught music by his mother, learning to play the guitar and piano. In later years he was a well-known contestant on Arthur Godfrey's talent show, a break Jimmy always thought was a big step in his career. He soon began recording and writing his own music. Despite a near fatal beating by an off-duty police officer in 1967, Jimmy has struggled to recover and to play his music again.
