John Logan became hooked on the Folk music craze and picked up the banjo as a result of the inspiration he felt from the genre. While attending the University of Tennessee, John played clubs around Knoxville and became rather popular on campus with his trio. After realizing the potential to make money from renting sound equipment after a request to rent his groups sound equipment to the Johnny Cash Show, John and his partner formed Carlo Sound with some of their first clients being the Allman Brothers and the Eagles. After an extremely successful career with Carlo Sound as well as an engineer, John left Carlo Sound to start his own company, Logan Media Services.
