Job Title
Manager/Director

Buck Owens Foundation

Jim Shaw formed his own country band in Fresno, earning a nice living when he heard Buck Owens opened a recording studio down the road in Bakersfield. Jim thought he could go down and make an album of his music to then sell at his concerts. When Jim arrived at the studio he was told Buck was recording with his band, The Buckaroos, but that they needed a piano player. Jim stepped into the studio to play the piano and his life changed. He worked with Buck as a member of his band, songwriter, publisher, recording engineer, and now as director of Buck’s foundation. His incredible career includes 12 seasons on the Hee Haw television program and most of Buck’s projects and tours from 1970 until Buck’s passing in 2006.
