In 1969, Rollie moved to Elkhart, Indiana, where he soon became Marketing Manager for Selmer. Around that time, the company had just acquired Premier Drums, and Rollie was placed in charge of product development. After a two-year period at Chicago Music Instruments (CMI), he returned to Elkhart and Selmer, once again serving as Marketing Manager for the percussion division. Following his 2009 NAMM Oral History interview, Rollie became a passionate advocate for the program, encouraging many of his friends and colleagues to sit down for their own interviews. Rollie Bunn passed away in October 2025, remembered as a generous, kind-hearted, and deeply respected figure within the music products industry.
