Scott Peterson is the President of Peterson Electro-Musical Products, which his father, Richard, established in the pursuit of his passion for audio electronics and pipe organs.  Among Richard’s many innovations was the Peterson Tuner in 1952 (beginning with Model 70), the world’s first transistor organ for the Gulbransen Company in 1957 and the the first hand-held electronic tuner, which was introduced in 1964.  The strobe tuner, which was developed later, became an important tool among recording studio engineers and musicians beginning in the late 1960s.  Scott’s interview included wonderful background on his father as well as the growth and development of the company since he became president.
