Tom T. Hall

Tom T. Hall loves telling a good old country story, you know the ones with a twist at the end and plenty of references to beer. When he set those stories to music he helped launch a new era in country music. Beginning with “Harper Valley P. T. A.” in the late 1960s, Tom wrote and sang about believable and often lovable characters. His other well known songs include “Watermelon Wine,” and “I Like Beer.” His music-publishing career was a key factor in his success and that of other songwriters who sought his advice and help over his long and successful career.
