Yukio Ohashi was the chairman of one of Japan’s leading musical instrument distributors, Prima Gakki. The company was established in 1945 as a sheet-music distributor and wholesaler. Over the years, Yukio became a key figure in the development of Japan’s music industry, helping design associations and creating music-encouraging events and materials to increase active music making. As a leader in the Wholesaler Division of the Japan Music Industry Association, he played an important role in strengthening music education programs and supporting musical events that expanded music making throughout the country.
