GenNext at The 2026 NAMM Show

GenNext is NAMM’s dedicated program for college music students, faculty, and emerging professionals to explore real-world career pathways across today’s music industry. Through a full slate of sessions, workshops, and networking events, participants gain practical insight into performance, production, business, technology, manufacturing, education, and the creative economy. The 2026 lineup features skill-building sessions on financial literacy, self-confidence, professional relationships, and career sustainability; panels connecting students with leaders in production, retail, instrument making, and music creation; and multiple “Network With the Pros” events offering direct conversations with industry experts. Designed in partnership with leading educators and organizations, GenNext equips the next generation of music professionals with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to build meaningful careers in music.
