No Regrets: Preservation Techniques Past, Present and Future
You’ve spent hours in the studio recording, tracking, overdubbing and finally mastering your latest project or hit single. But now that the heavy lifting is done, what are you doing to ensure the preservation and archival of your all your hard work? Leaders in the industry from a number of different disciplines, including Producer/Mixer Mark Needham (Chris Isaak, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, The Revivalists), will help guide you and give you practical information on how to save and preserve your most trusted works. This panel will be moderated by Jim Kaiser, audio engineer and educator, and instructor of Audio Engineering Technology at Belmont University in Nashville. Jim's experience includes location and studio recording, surround production, audio restoration and mastering, and technical design of music production facilities. Jim chairs the AES Technical Committee on Recording Technology and Practices, and co-chairs the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing Deliverables Committee.
