In today's challenging and uncertain economy, finding efficiencies and cost savings in your business processes is imperative. For the past two years, experts from across all channels of the music products industry have partnered together, designing a tool to enhance business practices.

At this year's NAMM Show, NAMM’s Ad-Hoc Technology Committee concluded another round of face-to-face meetings today with the release of an updated version of its business-to-business (B2B) technology standards for the music products industry. The release consists of XML-based documents meant to streamline and improve electronic transactions between trading partners in the music products industry.

This latest release has been dubbed 'Version 2009.1' and includes a new Implementation Guide as well as updated components. The Implementation Guide provides the necessary details for trading partners to begin using the standards.

The 'Version 2009.1' Implementation Guide and Specifications are published on NAMM’s Web site at http://www.namm.org/initiatives/b2b. This site is open to all NAMM Members and also features related resources for NAMM Members.
