Know Before You Go Part 2: Keeping Our Community Safe

Safety is on the minds of everyone in today's world. Rest assured that the NAMM team takes the well-being of our members seriously. The NAMM Show’s security measures are guided by a team of experts comprised of private, local and federal agencies. In cooperation with our safety and security partners, The NAMM Show will implement new security measures and offer a few tips below to keep “our clubhouse” safe:

Badge Perimeter

This year, we’ve expanded the badged perimeter to include the Grand Plaza, the Arena Plaza and the Palm Courtyard. Members can secure their badge at the ACC North Badge Pickup, Badge Pickup tent on the Grand Plaza, and at the Marriott and Hilton hotels. All attendees entering this expanded area and the convention center will be required to wear their badge.

How you can help: Please pickup and wear your badge before entering the areas surrounding the Anaheim Convention Center. Please keep your badge properly displayed on your body during your time at The NAMM Show. If your badge is missing, lost and/or stolen, please report it to a Badge Pickup location where a new one can be issued for a fee.

Entering The NAMM Show

With safety at the forefront, each entrance to the show will feature a walk-through metal detector. As in years past, backpacks, bags, purses and other personal effects will be subject to inspection prior to entry.

How you can help: Allow plenty of time for badge pickup and entry into the NAMM Campus.  Please plan a little extra time when scheduling appointments too. While NAMM Security Staff looks to minimize the impact to entering the convention center, your safely comes first, and your patience will be greatly appreciated! Please consider the necessities you will need and review The NAMM Show bag policies

Identification

As in past years, members will be asked to display identification upon entering The NAMM Show. Please have a valid, government issued identification to display to security staff upon entry and as requested as you travel from building-to-building.

How you can help: When entering, please have your ID ready to validate your badge. Please present to NAMM security staff if requested.

Keep Our Clubhouse Safe: See Something – Say Something

The NAMM Show’s security measures are guided by a team of experts from private, local and federal agencies that are designed to keep all attendees safe during the four days of the show.  Attendees are requested to contact NAMM security staff or badged NAMM staff members to report anything suspicious.

How you can help: If you witness suspicious behavior, please do not hesitate to speak up! You can contact any NAMM Security staff member or call 714-765-8975 to speak with a security professional. Be prepared to answer: who or what you saw; when you saw it; where it occurred; and why it's suspicious.
