Rick Anderson
Rick Anderson took a course in college that required he write a paper about a local business. This was his introduction to the Rodgers Instrument Corporation located in Hillsboro, Oregon, for which Rick was associated with (one way or another) long after his retirement. Rick, who became the historian for the company and its many innovative products, began selling organs there in 1973. It was the height of the home organ boom with 25% of all instruments sold being organd and nearly half of the NAMM Show floor covered with them. Rick was put in charge of the NAMM Show displays and often traveled with artists such as Virgil Fox and Hector Olivera (who became a friend) to ensure the instruments were in perfect playing condition. Over the years Rick rose to Director of Marketing and later as Regional Sales Manager as well as serving as President of the National Association of Electronic Organ Manufacturers in the 1970s.
