Doug Hall was playing in a "Wayne's World" type band during high school when he met some friends who worked at Showco, which provided sound gear to touring musicians. He earned a degree in digital electronics and soon applied the technology to Live Sound, which in 1978 was a new concept. In 1978, Doug was hired by the Dallas-based firm as a bench technician and was soon sent out on the road. His first gig was for The Bee Gees in Pontiac Stadium and Doug was hooked! Doug soon found another skill he could apply to his work, which included touring with Willie Nelson and Leon Russell. He focused on local gigs in the 1980s with his work at Crossroads Audio. After nearly 20 years as a system engineer supporting legendary sound mixers like Jack Maxson, Mike "Dr. Funk" Ponczek, Buford Jones, Rob "Cubby" Colby and Robert Collins with Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Carole King, Paul McCartney and many more, Doug took on the role of Product Manager for AMX, AKG, Denon / Marantz Pro. Since 2018, Doug is Director of Technology at Mizzen Marketing, which allows him the opportunity to focus on system designs and product line strategy.
