Oral History Information

Gale Mallory served as Band Director in Georgia and Alabama for over 38 years, making a real difference in the lives of thousands of students! She innovated several elements to the Marching Band’s Color Guard, such as the broader use of flags and dance lines. She attended Troy University where she met her husband and fellow band director Ronnie Mallory. The two taught together for many years before Gale decided to pursue her love of elementary music, working with beginners and having a ball. She also volunteers for Art’s Music, where Ronnie is a School Road Rep. Gale and Ronnie enjoy traveling together to schools and helping out the band director as they know first-hand they can use all the help they can get.
