Jerry Kovarsky

Jerry Kovarsky has enjoyed a long and influential career in the music products industry, helping shape generations of electronic instruments and the musicians who use them. A graduate of William Paterson College and the University of Miami, he began his professional journey performing freelance demonstration work for Casio during the early years of their keyboard division, eventually moving into product management and contributing to the launch of the groundbreaking CZ-101 synthesizer. He later joined Ensoniq as Director of Marketing, where over eight years he helped guide the development and promotion of innovative instruments including the ASR-10 Advanced Sampler, DP/4 Parallel Effects Processor, and TS-Series synthesizers. In 1996, Kovarsky joined Korg, collaborating closely with engineering and sound development teams for fourteen years on landmark products such as the Triton Series, Electribes, KAOSS Pad, M3, OASYS, and Kronos workstations. Following a period in Maui focused on performing and writing, he authored Keyboard For Dummies, now in its second edition. Today, Kovarsky continues to contribute as a consultant, sound designer, educator, and respected voice connecting musicianship with evolving music technology.
