Joe Lamond has been a music maker since he was a young boy. After touring with several bands and rock performers, Joe became the manager of Skip’s Music in Sacramento, California, before gaining the attention of NAMM, who used his talents to strengthen the Market Development Department. After a series of successful programs including Piano 300 and NAMM’s partnership with Sesame Street, Joe was asked to take the role of CEO in 2001 when Larry Linkin retired. Under his leadership the organization has supported its members with a growing list of benefits as well as creating the NAMM Foundation to better serve the mission of increasing the number of active music makers around the world.
