Loretta Pritchard is a songwriter and composer who has had several of her works published, including those written for young students. Her passion only grew when she joined school band programs and performed in musical events around her hometown of Alexander City, Alabama. After majoring in music in college she went on to teach music for some 20 years, all the while writing little songs to help her students practice. Among her noted songs published by FJH Music and distributed by Alfred Music are “Jamaican Vacation,” “The Lonely Ghost” and her most popular song “The Squeaky-Squawky Carousel,” which was written in 1996.
