NAMM Foundation Launches Pilot College Scholarship Program to Support Student Interest in the Music Products Industry

Annual scholarships of $2,500 to $5,000 being offered to support full-time college students interested in pursuing careers in the music products industry.

CARLSBAD, Calif.

The NAMM Foundation is offering scholarships of $2,500 to $5,000 per year in support of full-time college students who demonstrate a specific interest in pursuing careers in the music products industry.

The scholarship program was launched June 1, 2008, as a pilot initiative to encourage young people to develop the innovative business skills needed for the 21st-century manufacturing and retail areas of musical instruments and related products.

“It’s been said that the music products industry is really all about people and relationships,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. “NAMM and our Member companies all have a stake in attracting the best and brightest talent and it is our hope that this scholarship program will assist in filling the employment pipeline with qualified professionals to help our industry grow and thrive.”
