NAMM Summer Session and 2005 Midwest Music Summit to Fill Downtown Indianapolis with Live Music

More Than 250 Artists and Bands Set to Entertain the Music Products Industry During 2005 Summer Trade Show

Carlsbad, Calif.

NAMM, the International Music Products Association, today announced a new agreement with the Midwest Music Summit, a premier showcase of unsigned talent held annually in Indianapolis, Ind. The new arrangement will fill the downtown and Broad Ripple areas with more than 250 music acts during the upcoming Summer Session trade show, which will be held in Indianapolis, July 22–24, 2005.

“Our Members told us that experiencing a vibrant downtown area with energy, fun and nightlife is important to their enjoyment of the summer show,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. “Because of this, we are excited to bring the music of the Midwest Music Summit to the attendees of the 2005 NAMM Summer Session. This addition, along with the many events, parties and concerts being planned right now by NAMM Members will ensure a very strong live music presence at this year’s show. When the show closes each night, we’re confident that our Members will enjoy all of the new sights and sounds and venues that Indy has to offer.”

“This partnership with NAMM is a natural fit with our event, which showcases the growing local music scene in Indianapolis as well as the Midwest,” said Josh Baker, organizer of the Midwest Music Summit. “We can’t wait to show all the NAMM Summer Session attendees a fantastic time this July.”

The Midwest Music Summit, now entering into its fifth year, has showcased more than 1,100 bands and solo musicians. The MMS has become a landmark event in the Midwest and has showcased talent from as far away as Sydney, Toronto and Tel Aviv.
