Arnd Kaiser was born in Hagen, Germany, and developed an early fascination with synthesizers and electronic music that would shape his career. A musician, producer, and sound designer, Arnd began his professional journey while still in college, building a keyboard and pro-audio department at a local music shop. In 1989, he programmed a custom bank of presets for the Ensoniq VFX synthesizer, marking his entry into music technology distribution. As a product manager, he represented U.S. brands including Ensoniq, Oberheim, and Alesis across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland while developing dealer training programs. His sound design influenced numerous synthesizers throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Joining Alesis in 1997, he contributed to landmark products such as the ADAT recorder and the A6 Andromeda synthesizer, and supported the launch of the Hartmann Neuron. He later held leadership roles at Steinberg Media Technologies and PreSonus Audio Electronics before becoming general manager of software at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, where he leads development behind the award-winning Studio One digital audio workstation.
