Arnd Kaiser was born in Hagen, Germany, and developed an early fascination with synthesizers and electronic music that would shape his career. A musician, producer, and sound designer, Arnd began his professional journey while still in college, building a keyboard and pro-audio department at a local music shop. In 1989, he programmed a custom bank of presets for the Ensoniq VFX synthesizer, marking his entry into music technology distribution. As a product manager, he represented U.S. brands including Ensoniq, Oberheim, and Alesis across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland while developing dealer training programs. His sound design influenced numerous synthesizers throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Joining Alesis in 1997, he contributed to landmark products such as the ADAT recorder and the A6 Andromeda synthesizer as international marketing manager. He later supported the development and launch of the Hartmann Neuron and held product management roles at Steinberg Media Technologies, before becoming general manager of software at PreSonus Audio Electronics, later Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, where he leads the product team behind the award-winning Studio One / Studio Pro digital audio workstation.
