Jeff Van Duyn often expresses deep gratitude for the mentors who shaped his career in Live Sound, notably Dan Kasting and Mark Hogue. In 1963, Jeff’s musical journey took root when his parents took him to see Dick Clark’s Caravan of Stars in his hometown of Muncie, Indiana. That electrifying experience, combined with the concerts he attended as a teenager, ignited his curiosity about the behind-the-scenes magic of live performances. Jeff became the first to arrive and the last to leave, persistently seeking insights from sound engineers and crew members.
