Bill Foley has endeared himself to guitar lovers and would-be luthiers alike when he wrote the book How Your Guitar Works: An Introduction to Music Instrument Science. Bill has also written the popular book Build Your Own Electric Guitar, which has been a resource for many guitar makers around the world. His love for both music and science is deeply rooted, and he has advocated for years for school children to be educated in the science of musical instruments. In 1977, Bill began working at German Village Music in Columbus Ohio, which was established in 1950 by Al Meyer.
