Jeff Cary grew up in Rochester, New York playing guitar and started his career in the music industry by working at House of Guitars. He also developed a passion for audio gear and the recording industry. Jeff worked for the pro audio company, ART, as well as in a recording studio (for over 12 years) before being hired by Fender in 1998. Among the areas he has worked within Fender, Jeff headed the Audio Division where he led the team that produced the Fender Passport PA system. Jeff later led the Specially Brands Division that included non-Fender brands owned by the company such as

Juan Croucier toured the world as a rock and roll star as an original member of Ratt! He began performing bass in Hollywood in 1973, which lead to friendships that would later become the foundation for Ratt. He wrote several hits for the band including "Lack of Communication" and "You're in Love." He helped produce the band's hit music video for "Round and Round," which became an early hit on MTV. Jon Gold grew up playing in area bands and hanging out in local stores.  He soon was able to answer customer's questions about guitars hanging on the walls and found he was offered a job.  He later worked for the Fender Sound House in London and his love for the industry grew as did his knowledge of the instruments and products.  Jon connected with guitar pioneer Grover Jackson who was looking to create a new company based on a new guitar design.  So, Grover Jackson and Jon Gold formed GJ2 Guitars in 2011!

Grover Jackson grew up outside of Nashville, TN and developed a strong and lasting passion for music, not just playing it in noted bands, but in designing instruments to achieve creative sounds. His powerful playing and early involvement in heavy rock music led to requests from noted players for Grover to make them guitars. His style included thin bodies and progressive colors and images – and the instruments came along just when MTV was born and metal bands almost always played a Jackson-Charvel guitar.
