Endre Granat prolonged the legacy of his former teacher and friend by writing The Heifetz Scale Book. The method book, published by Lauren Keiser, put down what Maestro Jascha Heifetz never did, his teaching philosophy and techniques on paper.  Endre became very close to the maestro and played viola with him for years. Lauren Keiser  was a passionate music publisher. He worked with many of the top publishing companies over his long and distinguished career including Alfred, Cherry Lane, Carl Fischer and his own firm the Keiser Music Publishing Company. In 2012 he purchased Southern Music and renamed the company Keiser Southern Music, where he worked long and hard to create new products taking advantage of developments in technology. 

Matt Keiser was strongly encouraged to play music as a child, after all his father is composer and music publisher, Lauren Keiser! Matt played bass in high school and began taking a strong interest in his father’s career as a leader in the music publishing industry. In 2012, Lauren purchased Southern Music and began expanding the dealer base and catalog of the famous San Antonio based company. Four years later, Matt was asked to help build the new offices and soon discovered his interest in the educational component of the business.
