McKinley Jackson’s impressive discography includes his studio work as a trombonist as well as his songwriting and arranging for Motown, Hot Wax and other labels. His band, The Politicians, not only performed live and cut a now famous self-titled album and can be heard on “She’s Not Just Another Women” by 100 Proof.  McKinley began arranging while at Motown in the 1960s, where as a trombonist he can be heard on countless hits (his first was “Ooo Baby Baby”). Lou Mitchell was a product of the big band era and cut his teeth on swinging trumpet solos, such as those of his musical heroes of the 1930s. After meeting Rafael Mendez (his life-long friend), Lou moved to Hollywood and worked for the movie studios on countless soundtracks. He worked beside Rafael on several films including the 1953 cartoon starting Goofy entitled For Whom the Bulls Toil. Lou retired to Escondido, CA.
