Suzanne Bolton began working for the famous Muscle Shoals Sound recording studio in 1985. The studio had recently been acquired by Malaco Records out of Jackson, Mississippi, which was the home to dozens of gospel and blues performers. Suzanne was hired as the receptionist but soon realized, as is the case in most small studios, she was tasked to wear several hats. She ran operations and served as the studio's manager and worked with the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Glenn Frey and Blues great Little Milton.
