David Briggs was learning his skills as a studio musician in both Muscle Shoals and Nashville when he received a call to replace Floyd Cramer in a recording session. That session just happened to be for an album entitled How Great Thou Art with Elvis Presley. The session took place in May of 1966, impressing Elvis and his band enough to have David stay on for nearly a decade. Norbert Putnam is a studio musician’s studio musician. With a career that includes playing on most of the early Muscle Shoals recordings as well as hundreds of tracks with Elvis Presley, Norbert also played with and produced such artists as Jimmy Buffett, Dan Fogelberg and Joan Baez. At the heart of Norbert is his love and passion for music. As a bassist he has been able to express himself and make a living doing what he has really loved!
