Tim Bales is a hard-swinging brass player and long-time member of the band the Ides of March. His playing career began in the first grade when he was just six years old playing the cornet. Developing into a trumpet player by high school, Tim soon after went on tour with groups such as Time Machine beginning in 1973. Coming off the road he landed at Riverside City College in 1982, feeling his music career was over. Ray Gerlich is the long-serving production engineer at Hammond Suzuki, and began playing the organ when he was ten years old. While in high school he was given the opportunity to apprentice with an organ builder, who encouraged Ray to attend technical school and study engineering. After school, he worked for Petersen’s Electronics as a technician building circuit boards. On January 3, 1976, Ray began his career at Hammond as a repair technician. Dan Hagedorn grew up watching his father run the family’s music retail business and always knew he would work in the music industry. His father, known as Crazy Al, began his business in the basement of the family home and Dan can recall vividly the Vox Amplifier boom of the 1960s and the impact it had on the industry, let alone his father's small business. In those early days Dan would work for his father after school and then go out and gig with him at night. In 1974 they moved the business out of the basement and into a real brick-and-mortar store they named DJ’s Rock N’ Roll.

Peter Nguyen joined the team at Hammond Suzuki in 1998 and serves as the Chicago-based company’s Chief Financial Officer. He began as the Controller and enjoyed his early years at the company, working closely with the sales teams and product artists, such as Scott May. What impressed Peter about the Hammond workforce then and still to this day is their dedication to the quality and innovations of each of their products. These qualities were never more clear to Peter than during the Pandemic of 2020.
