David Jarrett was given his father's old Martin cornet when he took an interest in music as a 5th grader. This led to playing the trumpet in school and soon a deep passion for playing developed. He later graduated to a Bach Stradivarius trumpet in 1970 and continues to play that horn. David earned his degree in music education and music therapy, teaching for six years before joining the Air Force for nearly 8 years. In 1999, David was hired at H&H Music Services in Evansville, Indiana, as the store’s school road rep. Calling on band directors and assisting them is right up his alley, having been on the other side of the music stand. Like many people in small music stores, David wears many hats including shipping and receiving and helping out on the sales floor, all of which he greatly enjoys.
