David Rhodes
Oral History Information
David Rhodes was mentored by Wade Fuller, a lifelong musician whose family legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of Fuller’s Music, a beloved store originally founded by Wade’s grandfather, George, in 1905. After World War II, Wade’s father, Andrew, helped expand the business, and Wade, having grown up immersed in the store’s day-to-day rhythm, was the ideal mentor for young David. In 2016, David took over ownership, carrying forward the store’s rich tradition while introducing modern touches. Today, Fuller’s Music offers expert lessons, reliable repairs, and professional audio/video installations. As a full-line music store, it plays a vital role in supporting school band and orchestra programs across the community—something David is especially proud of. His passion for music began early, inspired by the sound of his father’s guitar, and has grown into a lifelong commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians and enriching the local arts scene.
