Erik Dietz

Erik Dietz is the owner of Dietz Brothers Music, a Southern California-based music retailer founded by his father and uncle as a small teaching studio that grew into a full-service music store. Surrounded by instruments at home, Erik developed an early passion for music, beginning with electric guitar before transitioning to classical guitar. Following his father’s example, Erik began teaching music shortly after graduating high school in 2001, sharing that same passion with students for more than 15 years. During that time, he also worked in the family business as a school road representative, building strong relationships with educators and supporting school music programs. After a brief period pursuing his interest in farming, including owning a farm in Oregon, Erik returned to Southern California and eventually purchased the business from his mother and uncle. As owner, he is committed to supporting both his customers and his team, including providing employee benefits such as health insurance. In 2025, he expanded the business into a new location, creating additional space for a full-service instrument repair shop and continuing the company’s tradition of quality service and community support.
