Florian Bomers is a software architect specializing in MIDI and audio technologies and the founder and CEO of Bome Software. Through his leadership, Florian has developed a comprehensive suite of MIDI routing, networking, and translation software and hardware that serves musicians, performers, and stage technicians around the world. Bome’s flagship products — Bome MIDI Translator Pro, Bome Network, and the BomeBox — are widely used to connect MIDI hardware and software, enabling customized workflows in studios, live performance environments, and home setups. Florian’s work has helped simplify complex technical integrations, empowering artists and production professionals to adapt technology to their creative needs. Florian also plays an active leadership role within the global MIDI community. He serves as Chair of the Transport Working Group at the MIDI Association and is a member of its Technical Standards Board, contributing to the advancement and evolution of MIDI standards worldwide. Outside of his professional work, Florian enjoys spending time with his family and remains an active musician, playing cello in orchestras and chamber ensembles.
