Jerry Carp volunteered as a docent for the NAMM Foundation’s Museum of Making Music and helped share the history of the music products industry with countless museum visitors since its opening in 2000. During his years surrounded by musical innovation, Jerry developed a deep interest in the theremin, the first electronic instrument, and studied its background extensively, ultimately becoming the museum’s expert on the subject. Jerry even assembled a kit theremin for the museum’s interactive gallery, allowing visitors to experience the instrument firsthand.
