Jim Wieda was just 14 years old when he was hired to play an organ for Farmer's Music Barn in Illinois. He was hired by Lowrey Organ and took part in their mall development program in the late 1970s. By 2002, Jim was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and then later Vice President. During Jim’s insightful NAMM Oral History interview, he provided a helpful overview of the Lowrey Company, how it began, and some of its key products and innovations over the years. He also recalled watching Dennis Awe introduce the historic Lowrey MX1 at the 1979 NAMM Show and the look of amazement on the faces of the attendees at this impressive musical advancement.
