John Page Guitars

John Page is a master luthier and visionary builder whose career has helped shape the modern era of handcrafted guitars. His association with Fender Musical Instruments began in 1978 when he joined the Research and Development Department as a model maker, eventually advancing to senior engineer during a distinguished twenty-year tenure. In 1987, John played a pivotal role in the creation and development of the Fender Custom Shop, helping redefine the company as a leader in finely crafted instruments. Following his years at Fender, he founded John Page Guitars with his wife, Dana, in 2006, introducing distinctive designs that reflected his personal approach to guitar making; these instruments continue to be produced by his skilled team. John later returned to Fender for a four-year project at the company’s museum, serving as Vision Keeper of its history and helping preserve its legacy for future generations. Turning his attention toward highly creative pursuits, he now focuses on crafting art guitars — instruments that function as exceptional musical tools while standing as striking works of art. A respected colleague and trusted friend to NAMM and the broader music products community, John’s influence continues to resonate throughout the industry.
