Oral History Information
Ken Lofton attended high school in Evansville, Indiana, in 1957 and recalls visiting his local music store during the school’s lunch hour. That retailer, Goldman's Pawn Shop, became Ken’s hang out and soon he was hired to repair guitars. A few years later he learned to play the guitar, which was a great benefit in setting up the instruments for the store’s customers. Ken joined the Air Force and had a long career in the sheet metal industry, but when he retired he knew just where he wanted to be, sitting at the work bench in Goldman’s!
