Mike Martin is a respected brand leader, product strategist, and longtime advocate for musicians whose career spans more than three decades in the musical instrument industry. Beginning piano studies at age eight, Martin developed an early fascination with electronic instruments that led him to work in music retail by age sixteen, where his talents as a salesperson and sound designer quickly emerged. Over the years, he played key roles in shaping and launching influential products including Sonic Foundry’s SoundForge and ACID software, Kurzweil’s K2661 and KSP8 effects processing line, Yamaha’s Motif ES, CP-33, CP-300, and 01X systems, and TC Electronic’s Konnekt audio interfaces. From 2008 through 2024, Martin served as General Manager of Marketing at Casio, helping transform the brand through innovative instruments such as the XW-P1 performance synthesizer and Privia PX-5S stage piano. A musician at heart, Martin has long served as a bridge between creativity and commerce, fostering meaningful relationships among artists, educators, retailers, manufacturers, and music makers worldwide.
