Ray Williams grew up in the Caribbean. His father, a police officer, played music during his time off of work. Ray’s brother played guitar, Ray picked up the bass, and he was always encouraged by his father to make music. At an early age, Ray focused his music making around the computer, which always fascinated him. He was programming and using MIDI to write and create music in the early years of that technology. While visiting the NAMM Show, he developed friends who asked him to start Steinberg Canada. In 2002, he formed his own company, Music Marketing, which provides innovative computer software for music making.
