Job Title
Executive Vice President
Company Name
Eastman Music Company

Ryan Richman developed a love for music early in life, beginning with the saxophone elementary school and continuing through junior high and beyond. Eager to be involved wherever music was happening, he participated in every band and musical event available, while studying multiple woodwinds, including bassoon and bass clarinet. His curiosity about instruments — even exploring the distinct tonal and performance differences between the clarinet and bass clarinet — reflected a musician already thinking deeply about sound and craftsmanship. Encouraged by his music teacher, Dr. Thom Root, Ryan pursued experience in music retail, leading to a formative opportunity with Bert Murdock Music. Over twelve years, he developed a strong foundation in customer relationships, instrument knowledge, and the business of music. Ryan joined Eastman Music Company in 2011 as a sales representative and steadily advanced through leadership roles in product management and wind instrument development before being named Executive Vice President. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to honoring the heritage of esteemed makers such as York Band Instrument Company and Haynes Flute Company, helping ensure their legacies continue to inspire future generations of musicians.
