Scott Wang

Scott Wang represents the third generation of leadership at Haiping Musical Instruments Manufacture Company, continuing a family tradition rooted in the craftsmanship of traditional Chinese percussion instruments. Founded by his grandfather, the company grew through the dedication of Scott’s father, who began making gongs at the age of twelve, establishing a legacy of artistry and manufacturing excellence. Scott entered the family business at an early age, developing firsthand knowledge of the industry while working in the company’s marketing department after formally joining the organization in 1984. Over the decades, Scott gained broad experience supporting the company’s international growth before transitioning into a sales leadership role in 2011. As General Manager, Scott helps guide Haiping’s global expansion while preserving the traditional techniques and cultural heritage behind the company’s renowned gongs and cymbals. His leadership reflects a balance of family legacy, modern business strategy, and a commitment to sharing Chinese musical traditions with musicians and sound practitioners worldwide.
