Wayne Charvel

Wayne Charvel was an innovative electric guitar designer and master luthier whose colorful, high-performance instruments helped define the look and sound of hard rock and heavy metal during the 1980s and 1990s. His pioneering designs ushered in a new era of custom electric guitars, inspiring countless players while contributing to a significant increase in guitar sales throughout the music products industry. Wayne began building guitars in his home in Azusa, California, before expanding his operation by purchasing a factory in nearby Glendora. Among the many artists who played his instruments were Edward Van Halen, Richie Sambora, Jake E.
