With the 2013 NAMM Show opening in less than five months, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is announcing new features that will make the show an even better place to connect with the music product, instrument, pro-light and audio world. The NAMM Show will run January 24-27, 2013 in Anaheim, CA.

In an effort to make attending NAMM completely hassle-free and to open up more space in the convention center, registration will move out of the lobby and into surrounding hotels. Now people attending NAMM can check in, pick up their badge and beeline it straight into the show. With the show now extending to the outer glass doors, entrances to the halls will be open and there will be fewer ID checks once inside the convention center. The open lobby will play host to an exclusive Member Center, digital media hub, new product showcases and more.

“NAMM Members tell us that the show is a critically important part of their business strategy,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. “These changes and new features are designed to help our members have a productive and fun time while they are in Anaheim.”

Lighting, touring and sound will take center stage in The Venue, as these categories take over an actual venue, The Arena at the Anaheim Convention Center for the 2013 NAMM Show. The Venue’s dimmed overhead lighting and tall ceilings will allow lighting and entertainment technology products to truly shine as the concert experience comes to life at NAMM Show.

The new Grand Plaza is under construction now, but will be fully completed in time for the NAMM Show. The plaza, which runs between the Hilton and Marriott leading to the main entrance of the Anaheim Convention Center, will set an outdoor stage for live music throughout the day and a place for Members to network.

Registration opens for attendee on October 3rd, for exhibitors on October 12th and media on October 18th. Exhibit space is still available for the 2013 event. The earlier a company commits, the more location options will be available. NAMM Member hotel bookings open on October 3rd, non-member housing opens on November 14th.
