NAMM and PAMA To Host ‘Music and Sound Intellectual Property Task Force Meeting’ at the 2011 NAMM Show

Music Product Manufacturers CEOs and Senior Executives Encouraged to Learn About Intellectual Property Rights and Anti-Counterfeiting Actions

CARLSBAD, Calif.

 The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) announced today that it is collaborating with the Professional Audio Manufacturers Alliance (PAMA) to host a “Music and Sound Intellectual Property Task Force Meeting” during the 2011 NAMM Show for all manufacturers seeking information about intellectual property and counterfeit enforcement activities to protect brand equity and profitability.  

The event will feature a presentation and panel discussion by industry professionals who have specific knowledge and insight on this topic. The meeting will be held Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, starting at 4 p.m. at the Hilton Anaheim, level 4, Laguna Room A and B. A cocktail reception will follow from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“Protecting Economic Drivers Because All Roads Lead To The U.S.” 
Mr. Pelletier will address issues pertinent to today’s intellectual property (IP) environment, including preventing illegal imports through International Trade Commission actions, enforcing IP through traditional, U.S. litigation and effectively partnering with foreign manufacturing entities when you’re sharing your technology with them. Based on recent experience in the field, he’ll weave in personal anecdotes and current events to provide context.
