NAMM Announces Believe in Music and Milestone Honorees at 2019 Gathering

Yesterday at The 2019 NAMM Show, 37 NAMM member companies were honored with the NAMM Milestone Award. The award, presented by NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond, recognizes music businesses that have flourished through changing business environments to reach a noteworthy anniversary.

Milestone awardees included a three-hundred-year-old recipient, Musikverlag Breitkopf & Härtel; Carl Sauter Pianofortemanufaktur (200 Years) and Gibson Guitars, at 125 years. A complete list of all Milestone honorees is included below. 

A number of other awards were also presented to honor the contributions of industry members: The Believe in Music Award is given to recognize the dedication of individuals and businesses which demonstrate a commitment to creating a more musical world. The award recognized Bill Dickens; Don and Julie Lewis; George Petersen; John Packer Musical Instruments; Lloyd and Donna Meyer; Rebecca Apodaca; Rosi Johnson; Sam Ash Music and Scott May.

The NAMM Milestone Awards were presented ahead of Saturday’s NAMM U Breakfast Session. The NAMM Show brings together over 100,000 industry professionals to preview the latest gear, attend educational sessions and network with peers from more than 120 countries and regions.
