NAMM Announces Education Session Schedule for the H.O.T. Zone at the 2011 NAMM Show

CARLSBAD, Calif.

NAMM, the trade association for the international music products industry, today announced the education session schedule for this year’s Hands-On Training (H.O.T) Zone at the 2011 NAMM Show, offering the broadest educational experience for professionals in the recording, live sound, DJ, house of worship, commercial systems integrators, and stage and lighting industries in the history of the show.

The H.O.T. Zone will offer attendees free one-hour classes on more than 75 educational topics over four days, including topics such as “Introduction to Live Mixing,” “New Techniques for DJs,” “Lead Worshipers Arise,” “The Future of Music,” “Pro Tools 101,” “Entrepreneurship with Chris Stone,” and “Social Media Marketing for DJs.” On Jan. 13, 2011, the opening day of the NAMM Show, the H.O.T. Zone will be offering “Boot Camp Day” with an array of basic courses designed to provide foundation-level instruction in music technology and business.

The classes for the four-day program are being offered by top education institutions, including:

  • USC Thornton School of Music
  • Musicians Institute
  • Ex’pression College for Digital Arts
  • Berklee College of Music
  • SAE Institute

The H.O.T. Zone will be located on Level 2 of the Anaheim Convention Center and is being held for the duration of the NAMM Show Jan. 13 to Jan. 16. The forum is aimed at examining today’s challenges and sharing essential information, and designed to create custom solutions for attendees.

Those who would like to participate in the H.O.T. Zone educational offerings must be NAMM Members. If you do not meet the membership qualifications, please RSVP to corporatebuyer@namm.org. Be sure to reserve a badge before the Dec. 15, 2010 deadline. After this date the badges are $25 each and must be picked up at one of the many Will Call stations on show site.
