Carlsbad, Calif.

NAMM today announced a new benefit to make health insurance available to its Members. The new service will be offered by Mercer Health & Benefits, a leading health care solutions provider and subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Through Mercer Health & Benefits, NAMM Members will be able to shop and compare health insurance options, including dental, life and accidental death and disability, short- and long-term disability, as well as vision. The benefits will be available in all 50 states and Mercer Health & Benefits will work with Members to provide localized service to help them select the right product for their needs.

Individuals and families will have health coverage options from more than 300 top insurance companies throughout the U.S., including Aetna, CIGNA, BlueCross/BlueShield, Coventry, Humana, Guardian, Kaiser Permanente, Kaiser, Principal, United Healthcare and many other top regional providers.

Beginning today, active NAMM Members can visit here or call 1.877.532.3516 to begin working with a consultant on the best benefit solution for their needs. Mercer Health & Benefits offers private, confidential, toll-free assistance to walk Members through various aspects of the service.

"All businesses are struggling with health care," said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. "And while NAMM is still working in Washington as part of a national coalition to pass legislation that will allow associations to use group buying power for the benefit of small business Members, this new program provides our Members with access to coverage right now. While there are no easy answers to this situation, NAMM's goal is to help our Members who need it, get connected with a good health plan for their families and staff."
