NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, announced the availability of new limited medical insurance plans that guarantee acceptance for all NAMM Members age 18 to 64.

Starting at $69.99 per month, the plans offer limited medical insurance to NAMM Member companies and their employees, some of whom have been unable to obtain comprehensive medical insurance because of high costs or pre-existing conditions.

There are three affordable plans, which do not require medical underwriting, and offer savings through tiered dental, vision and prescription benefits.

The new plan is being offered to Members in addition to two programs that were initiated over the past two years. Those benefits include a service that helps Members find comprehensive health insurance that suits their needs, and a discount card program for prescriptions, vision coverage, hotel discounts and other health insurance and entertainment offerings. The discount card program provides supplemental assistance for people whose insurance plans only offer the basics, or for those who want discounts on the services they use most often.

“NAMM Members are struggling, like all businesses, with health care costs,” said NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond. “Along with the other insurance benefits NAMM provides, we wanted to offer an option that either a NAMM Member owner or employee could access—independent of one another. We wanted the limited medical program to be affordable, obtainable for all Members, and available without requiring a contribution by the employer.”

NAMM has now teamed with the United Consumer Awareness Association (UCAA) and Patriot Health, Inc., the nationwide managing general underwriter and administrator for limited medical plans. Patriot combines multiple insurance carriers and networks to deliver the most complete and highest value plans for its clients.
